- You can scan items with a barcode scanner, or manually enter item information into a computer program.
- Customers who ask about pricing terms like unit prices and sale prices will be explained to them
- Verify that the items are placed in the right bins or on the correct shelves
- Customers can be paid by check or cash. Changes can also be made as required
- Customers who are unable to carry heavy items because of age or disability can have items delivered to them
- To ensure they are printed correctly, review receipts
- To record the prices and information of groceries, scan them with a barcode scanner
- For later retrieval, record customer purchases in a computerized inventory system
