Junior Stores Controller
Description

Manage and control the Air Arabia Line Stores inventory. Daily activities include receipt, storage, release, and return of all tools, equipment, and spare parts required for maintenance of Air Arabia aircrafts and Third Party aircrafts.

Assures that all activities are recorded and carried out in accordance to Company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory bodies' rules.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains and handles the "line stock" inventory for routine tasks and daily demand items. This includes tools boxes and kits, batteries, and oils.
  • Assures that all components and items are in place at all times to perform maintenance tasks and ensure the safe release and availability of aircraft.
  • Performs daily inspections and checks in Line storage areas to ensure that correct storage conditions are maintained, such as Temperature Control, Humidity Control, safety, and health hazards, etc.
  • Assists in the allocation of tools and parts to the store according to instructions from "Technical Purchase" and "Stores Supervisor"; coordinates replacement of consumables and the updates system accordingly.
  • System pre-loads with requirements for ADD/MDD to have ready for retrieval at the right time
  • Air Arabia's maintenance plans provide the basis for daily tool boxes, kits, and spare parts.

 

  • All tools and equipment used in Line Maintenance must be checked and maintained at all times. The "Rotables Team", if any tools or parts are not serviceable, will advise the "Rotables Team".
  • Monitors all activities related to equipment and parts received or stored. This includes material shelf life, tool calibration, shift log book, critical movements, and other factors. All items must be carried out in accordance to agreed formats and terms.
  • All parts that are not in use or credited to the stock system are returned to the main shops according to Company procedures.
  • Assists the Stores Supervisor with the implementation and maintenance of safety measures, cleanliness and storage conditions, communication, and overall performance for the Line Store.
  • As needed, provides ad-hoc inventory support and stores support for both Air Arabian and Third Party aircrafts.
  • Regularly prepares stock reports; reports errors on system, identifies cause for error and recommends corrective actions to prevent them from happening again.
Qualifications
  •  diploma or certificate in a related subject from a recognized institution is acceptable. You will also need to have experience and exposure. Bachelor's degrees in any discipline are preferred.
  • Capable of using technology systems and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High level of accuracy.
  • Fluent in the English Language.
  • UAE Driving License

Experience

  • Ability to work in a rotating shift.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in a similar role within the aviation industry. Experience with low-cost airlines is an advantage.
  • Experience in inventory soft-wares will be considered an advantage.
  • Must have the necessary experience and exposure to GCAA regulations and rules pertaining to the acceptance, storage, and issuance of technical spare parts and equipment for aircraft maintenance.
  • It will be a benefit to have the knowledge and complete the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Training.
  • Excellent time and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrable skills in the use of data and resources in a cost-effective way.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, show energy and enthusiasm and takes responsibility.
  • Multitasking oriented, with high attention to details and results.
  • Can work hard under pressure.
  • Physically fit and active, able to lift heavy equipment and move between stores.
