Description
Are you a creative and skilled graphic designer who is interested in engineering, construction, or architecture-related projects? Parsons is looking for a Graphic Designer with an interest in creating and preparing moderately complicated art and copy layouts using client standards and formats.
Responsibilities
- Prepares simple artworks and copy layouts. Uses established formats and standards from the Client's or Company's style manuals.
- Directly works with Project Managers, Designers and Technical Writers/Editors.
- Recommendations for improvements in accuracy, clarity, consistency, and conformity with the styles of Company or Clients.
- Produces reproduction-ready visual graphics such as newsletters and flyers, brochures and flyers, slides, charts, graphs, diagrams and tables, sketches, isometrics and viewgraphs.
- Modify existing artwork as needed.
- Assists in completing assignments on time as part of a functional group.
Qualifications
- Preferably, an Associate's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or a certificate of completion from an accredited course in design/graphics (or its equivalent) is required
- A minimum of 3+ years experience in graphic design at an engineering company
- Prior experience working in engineering construction projects is required
- Demonstrated ability to visualise accurate information and project ideas when creating graphics or presentations
- Adobe Creative Suite includes Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. AfterEffects, Microsoft, AfterEffects, and AfterEffects are all examples of technical competence.
- Interest in architecture, engineering, construction, or environmental issues
- You will succeed if you are able to communicate the purpose and intent of infrastructure concepts through graphic representation.
