Description
Teachers are crucial in motivating and guiding students to success. Teachers are the primary contact point with students during school hours and have direct contact with them all day. It is the teacher's responsibility to help all students learn the skills and subject matter that will enable them to become responsible, mature, capable and competent individuals. This must be done in accordance with the school's mission. They are responsible for providing quality education to students.
Responsibilities
- Allocated classes and related planning can be taught
- Assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting on student work
- Students can get advice and guidance on education-related issues.
- Promotion and protection of the safety and general well-being of students
- Collaboration with parents and other staff to achieve the best interests of students
- Continuing professional development
- Participating in the development of the school curriculum
- Collaboration towards maintaining order in the school and classrooms
Qualifications
- Minimum BS/BA in subject plus
- An accredited teaching qualification (e.g. A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Master of Education/Teaching or Professional Certificate/Diploma In Teaching or Education) from an accredited institution
- Meet the TELS UAE teacher certification requirements, and obtain the Competent Teacher Status. (CTS), within one year of joining, or shorter if required by the relevant authority
