Description
We need a Waiter/Waitress who can take orders and deliver food to customers. Customers will enjoy a better dining experience when the right Waiter/Waitress is there. We need someone who is patient, sociable, and persistent to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- When customers arrive at a cafe, restaurant, or other eating or drinking establishment, they are welcomed.
- Introduces customers and announces seasonal or daily menu specials.
- Questions about pricing, ingredients and menu items?
- Customers' orders for food or drink are taken by the customer. They can be written on tickets, entered into a tablet, or remembered.
- Handles customer orders to the kitchen staff for preparation.
- Prepares and serves drinks to customers.
- Collects food orders and verify they are correct before serving them to the customers.
- Customers are pleased with their meals. We also process orders for additional courses, if required.
- Dispose of used flatware, glasses, dishes and other items from tables.
- Prepares cheques for customers and delivers them.
- If necessary, processes cash and credit card payments.
- Sets of tables that include dishes, flatware, glasses and flatware.
- Keeps current with restaurant information, including specials and menu items.
- Meetings with staff and managers on a daily basis or weekly to discuss menu changes and specials, as well as discuss future reservations and customers who have special needs.
Qualifications
- Experience as a waiter or waitress.
- Experience with the cash register and ordering system.
- Customers appreciate your patience and attention.
- Great presentation skills.
- You have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and active listening are key components.
- Team spirit.
- Flexibility to work shifts
